Every fall Madison, IN (my hometown) sponsors a fabulous art and craft show called Chautauqua.
Madison closes off the streets of downtown and vendors set up booths up and down the both sides of the street.
My mama and I have been going to this festival for as many years as I can remember.
We love to venture up and down the streets and look at everyone's fabulous crafts.
I love this tradition of ours and look forward to it every year.
We typically knock out a lot of Christmas presents during this shopping trip.
This year we didn't luck out at much but we did get some goodies.
This year we didn't luck out at much but we did get some goodies.
One of my (and the Mister's) favorite parts of Chautauqua is the FOOD.
Fresh kettle corn, candied nuts, pumpkin EVERYTHING.
And the list goes on and on.
I think this year we spent more money on food than we did anything else.
My favorite purchase was a candy corn wood piece I got for our front year.
And it was only $7!
And has glitter on it!
Why, yes, that is a concrete basset in our front yard...
And that is Floyd in the doorway...he is never more than 2 steps behind me at any moment.
What did you do this weekend?
