We had the most gorgeous weekend for Keeneland.
Lexington in the fall is one of the best places in the world to be.
The weather, the company and the food were all just perfect.
It was so nice to be with old friends and we even made some new ones!
My tailgate food was quite the hit.
The cake batter cookie bars turned out deliciously and I can't wait to make more.
The Mister has requested them no less than 5 times since we have been home.
Unfortunately I didn't get to see many of the blogger ladies :(
Tess and I kept missing one another (stupid cell service inside the track).
But I did happen to run into Miss Pink LouLou.
And to be honest, my day was kinda made.
Let me tell you, she is as beautiful and sweet in person as she is on her blog.
And the best part...
Miss PLL poufed my hair!!!
We all know she loves the pouf and I was more than happy to have her work her magic on my head.
I may or may not have had my teasing brush in my purse...
There are some items you just never know when you may need them.
For instance in the walkway at the grand stand at Keeneland.
I don't have any photo evidence of this event but Miss LouLou does...hopefully I can share those with you soon!
Here are some other pictures from the day...enjoy!
P.S. I almost went with the black dress option and at the last minute ran to Forever 21 and found this coral dress that I ended up wearing.
The betting room...where I lost a whole $8.
New friends Rush and Christy. Thanks for a fun day, ladies!
How was your weekend?

Great to hear the cake bars were a success, I've been wanting to make them ever since seeing them on your blog last week. Looks like Keeneland was a blast!

I am from Lexington and miss the Keeneland meets, especially the fall meets. Nothing beats Fall in Kentucky and at Keeneland. Thanks for this post. Makes me home sick but nice to see things that bring back great memories.
