As previously promised, here is my Mama's Taco Soup recipe!
She has been making this soup for as long as I can remember and it never fails

Jan's Taco Soup
1 1/2lbs
ground beef/turkey (browned and drained)
2 cans
stewed tomatoes
2 cans Rotel
2 cans
kidney beans
2 cans
white shoe peg corn (or yellow corn)
1/2 cup
chopped onion
2 pkgs
taco seasoning
1 pkg
ranch dry seasoning
Dash of fresh lime juice
1. Brown
and drain the meat, add the taco seasonings according to directions.
2. Combine the remaining ingredients together in the crock pot and simmer for at least 2 hours (or all day).
OR
1. Brown and drain the meat, add the taco seasonings according to directions.
2. Combine the remaining ingredients into a dutch oven and let simmer for an hour.

Top with
tortilla chips, sour cream, cheese, green onions and/or avocado.
Yum yum yum!
This is definitely one of our go to and favorite meals!
I love how quick and easy it is.
I
will often brown the meat the night before and in the morning assemble
all of the ingredients into the crock pot and let it simmer all day.
Plus it makes your house smell amazing!
