50 Shades.
Are you reading it??
If not, why not?
To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement.
We chose book 1 for our book club last month.
I was skeptical at first...
and then I started reading
and could not get enough of Christian and Ana.
About 3/4 of the way through book 1 I got on Amazon and ordered the next 2.
(p.s. one day I'll share my love of Amazon Prime with you)
I knew I had to know the rest of the story
I am now 142% totally engrossed in this love story.
I can't read fast enough
but at the same time,
do not want it to end.
I started book 3 the other day and am cautiously
but feverishly reading it.
I did hear a glorious rumor that they are making a movie...
This Vanity Fair article suggests Ryan Gosling to play Christian Grey
Um if that is the case,
I'll be sitting at the theater waiting until it opens.
Funny story...
I received a call the other day from an unknown Washington number...
and if I am lying I am dying...
my first thought was,
'OMG, Christian Grey is calling me!'
Turns out it was just a spam calling telling me I had won a cruise...
#notthesame
Be warned though
they do drop the 'f' bomb
and it is intense
but the story is good
and a great beach read for the summer.
Bottom line.
Read it.
Who is with me on this obsession??
I'll let you know what the verdict is from book club soon!
Happy weekend, Cinco de Mayo and Derby Day, friends!

I think it is safe to say the hubs is a bit jealous of my love for Christian. Who do you think should play Ana? In my mind she looks like Zooey Deschanel.
I have dirt! I have dirt!
So this book started out as a Twilight fan fiction story on fanfiction.net. The author changed the character names and published it as a book. Now, fan fiction authors are writing fan fiction about 50SoG! So, to recap, people are writing fan fiction about a book that used to be a fan fiction of another book. My brain just exploded.
Apparently, Twilight fan fiction where the characters are all-human is really popular and several authors are pulling their online stories to publish. Who knew!
I have a major crush on Mr. Grey right now! :) I kinda like not knowing who will play him. I am about 1/2 through the 3rd book and don't want it to end!!
I have seen (in blog world) so many people talking about this book. Perhaps I should hop on the bandwagon!
Yes. Obsessed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about these books. I read all 3 in one week. And I may or may not have gone into a slight depression knowing that no book will ever compare...
But if Ryan Gosling does play Christian, I will be there on opening night. For sure! *swoon*
And OMG. I got that same call from Washington about the cruise! And my first thought was Grey Enterprises? lol! :)
I'm hooked too. Such a guilty pleasure read! It makes my commute on the L go by so quickly. I kinda feel like I have to make sure no one is reading over my shoulder though...ha!
OKay, I've read the trilogy, twice! LOVED it!!! Don't worry, I've done a LOT of research and have read some books that I think you'll love. I hated for it to end, but I can't wait for the movie. PLUS, she says at the end of book three... that's all for now! Gave me some hope! =)
definitely plan to read these this summer!
I can't get enough! I finished all 3 and am starting over again!
I haven't started the first one yet - but I can't wait to start!!!
One word: Amazing. Two words: Christian Grey. Three words: Yes, more please. ;)
We read these books last month & died over them. So many of our friends are reading them now. Is it healthy to admit that I'm jealous of everyone who's reading it for the first time?? Christian Grey is an addiction that I don't want to kick. I'll be reading all three books AGAIN as soon as possible.
Christian's character?? For me, I like to picture Matt Bomer. Anastasia...maybe Amanda Seyfried as a brunette. The movie anticipation might kill me.
So glad you shared your thoughts!
