I think we are finally back in our groove and this weekend was dedicated to getting our lives and house back in order.
And our bodies back in order.
I downloaded the couch to 10k app on Friday.
I'll keep you updated on how that's going.

Saturday morning we resumed
our weekly family date to Starbucks with Floyd and enjoying the
weather. The rest of the day was full of errands and wandering around
Lowes.
I picked up some
flowers and herbs to plant in hopes of freshening things up out front.
I'm hoping they survive the spring and beyond.
I
have just about 0 idea about gardening but I sure do enjoy it and love
having pretty flowers around. My amateur green thumbs are crossed.
Saturday afternoon we caught up with friends and watched the Derby.
And, of course, enjoyed some mint juleps.
I love bourbon, mint and horse racing so watching the Derby is a given.

I'm desperately hoping to make it there one day soon.
It's far too close for us not to go.
After meeting friends I thought we were just going home and were going scrounge up something for dinner.
Well, Mister surprised me by swinging into our new favorite Mexican joint.
He really knows the way to my heart. (hint it's through a bowl of chips and salsa)
I was a happy camper to celebrate Cinco de Mayo one day early.
Sunday was spent trying out a new (to me) Australian recipe - to be on the blog later this week- and having tacos and margaritas with some friends.
Floyd is still catching up on his sleep from when we were gone and spent most of his weekend snoozing.
Well, when he wasn't out at Starbucks, helping us do yard work and visiting with his friends.
He is a very busy man.

That picture of Floyd at Starbucks is HILARIOUS! Love his heart, he was worn out and needed a coffee too, mom! I watched most of the Derby coverage on Saturday but am sad to say I didn't actually watch IT ...I was in Hobby Lobby! Whoops!
Floyd is seriously too cute. I have a basset mix and am in LOVE with their breed. Great blog! Have a fantastic week! -Stacey
Have you decided to sign the papers so Floyd can officially be mine? Just let me know ;)
My lack of green thumb is about to plant some flowers this weekend too! PS can I just say that every picture of Floyd I take directly to my fiance and remind him that we need a basset hound?? He is perfect!
Happy Monday! Adorable blog you have here. Please do keep us posted on how the Couch to 10K is going. I was halfway through Couch to 5K when I injured my knee back in February, but I was really liking it!
I love that you take Floyd to Starbucks. Precious!
Mexican food is the way to my heart too! And going to the Derby is on my bucket list too!!! Looks like you guys are getting back normal from being an Aussie for a week!! :)
I'm going to have to check out that couch to 10k app. Because I'm been on the couch setting for a loooong time.
Umm that dog is the cutest. And that picture is hilarious!

Does Floyd have a vitamin D deficiency? Like me, he sure loves his sleep!! ;)
Floyd's yawn is the highlight of my afternoon!!!
I always want my yard to be pretty as well, but I have no clue how to take care of them. Good luck with yours!!
Ooo! I've never made an Aussie recipe, I'm looking forward to it!
Floyd at Starbucks is too cute. My dog would have been all up in my business. (or the people next to my table's business...)
