Day 5: Personality Test
Today's prompt was to take a short personality test and discuss the results.
Talk about fun and insightful! I think everyone should do this.

My results were: ENFJ
Extravert (11%) iNtuitive (12%) Feeling (50%) Judging (56%)
Quizzes like these are always very intriguing to me and I love seeing the results. Anything to do with why people are the way they are and psychology are right up my alley.
I have to say these results are pretty spot on.
I have to say these results are pretty spot on.
I do always think of cavets in my head when I'm answering the questions though and I wonder how that plays into the results. Like, 'well that's true most of the time' or 'but if this was going on, then I may feel/respond differently'. For the most part, however, most of the questions from this test are pretty straightforward.
I think these results go hand in hand with my lifestyle and definitely my job.
I get very excited presenting designs to clients and about the direction their specific job can take. I quickly get very emotionally involved in them, the scope of their project and how well it could turn out. My clients emotions and feelings about their home quickly come into play and are integral part to the design solution and creating a perfect plan for them. This all makes for a very exciting process.
I think this following description is pretty spot on,
'ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus
is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or
projects simultaneously.'
I generally have about 74 things going on at once and find it really hard to not be multitasking. But trust me, this has it's pros and cons. My brain is constantly thinking and going and planning out my next step and to do list item.
The emotion description and putting others first is me as well. I have an intense need to make sure that people are fed at all times. If you come into our house, you will not go hungry, trust me. I really love helping, feeding and serving others. It makes me happy to know that friends, family and clients are well taken care of.
I can quickly get tied up in other's emotions or situations. Mister picks on me because I will immediately start tearing up if I see something sad on tv or vice versa, something crazy exciting/happy. Solider homecomings, engagements, surprises, dogs....just go ahead and pass the tissues.
Lately it's been this commercial.
Other traits mentioned that coincide with ENFJ's are: organized, fast paced, gracious...I think these are all spot on. I love for things to be organized and in their spot. And I am not one to do things slowly (which isn't always a good thing :/ ).
The following sentence from this article is me to a T:

'ENFJs like for things to be well-organized, and will work hard at
maintaining structure and resolving ambiguity.
They have a tendency to be fussy, especially with their
home environments.'
Things are certainly not perfect 100% of the time but they do have their spots and I feel much calmer and at ease when they are in them. Thankfully Mister is on board with this and we both love nothing more than a clean kitchen counter.
You should take the same test HERE and I'd love to hear your results and what you think!
I minored in Psychology so I really love tests like this too.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you love presenting to clients. I get so nervous with public speaking. That is a great trait of yours to have!
Big Apple, Little Bites
You are the complete opposite from me - I'm an ISTJ. I took this back in college, when I was majoring in psychology, and I think it is spot on!
ReplyDeleteThose were my results too!
ReplyDeleteThat commercial gets me everytime.
ReplyDeleteI took the test over the weekend, but then debated too much over posting it and didn't in the end. Probably part of my personality...ha! But I was an INFJ. I am slightly on the edge of being an Introvert vs an Extrovert. But a lot of my characteristics were the sames as yours. Did you have Mister take it? I was thinking about having my boyfriend take it to help strengthen our relationship even more by knowing how to communicate with each other. I am sure he will be thrilled about that...ha!
ReplyDeleteHey! Found your blog through the blogtember linky - we have the same name and the same personality results *Que twilight zone music here*
ReplyDeleteThe test got me pretty spot on too once I'd googled more about my results! Interesting quiz!
Consider me a new follower too! :)
i am an ENFJ too!! ;) haha it was fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! I'm also an ENFJ and just watched that commercial - seriously, instant tears! Sometimes my roommates watch me watch movies because of my emotional reactions to what's going on on the screen. Ha and I'm also totally with you on the doing everything fast - it's both a blessing and a curse - I think I've been told to slow down more than anything else in life.
ReplyDeleteExcited to have found your blog! :)
We are the same! I agree that most of it is spot on!
ReplyDeleteI'm an ENFJ too!
ReplyDeleteI'm an ESTJ, but it sounds like we have a lot of the same qualities. The biggest difference might be the word "gracious." ESTJs are not gracious ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm ESFJ. Extroverted sensing feeling judging.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with this. I'm definitely outgoing and like to be in charge (as my description says )
I also definitely wear my heart on my sleeve...
It also says I see the world as somewhat of a dangerous place and am a great protector. Could not be more true. I'm always looking out for danger and protecting my son. A little paranoid? I think I've watched too many law and order SVU's.
I loved this thanks for sharing!!
I'm an ENFJ too :-)
