Weekend Wrap Up : 2 in the books

This weekend was pretty bananas crazy and I could really use another day to recover.
Although at least we had an extra hour to sleep, that did help!
Sadly, I was so busy I took absolutely 0 pictures...had to rely on Mister to have pictures for this post!! What kind of blogger am I?? Thank goodness for a great blogger husband ;)

Friday after work we hosted a client wrap up party for a kitchen we had recently finished!
It was so fun and the kitchen is SO beautiful I wouldn't hate if it were mine!

Saturday was a mix of errands, a short run and a baby shower for a our dear friend, Autumn.
Saturday night was very low key in preparation for Sunday...

Sunday we were up bright and early for me to run my second half marathon.  I kept quiet about this race because until I signed up I wasn't sure I was going to do it or not.
Since my last half, I've been sorta itching to do another.
The one I ran was really close to our house and just early enough in the winter that I knew I wouldn't freeze to death so I decided to go for it.  Plus Bethany was running it and I knew I would have a running/chatting buddy!
Turns out it's a great thing I ran the race because 1. it went well and I felt good 90% of the time and 2. I PRed!!
I took 9 minutes off my last half time and that just feels really great!

In a year where my biggest goal was to do a 10k, I am so happy to report I've done 2 half marathons!  If you would have told me that last January when I made that list, I would have surely laughed in your face.
It is really true, you never know what can change in a year.

Sunday night was spent at a celebratory end of the year race party with the group I run with and, of course, celebratory burger for dinner.  Or refueling, whatever you want to call it.
