I teased you guys on Monday with some house updates we did over the weekend and now I am finally ready to show you what we had done.
I know you've been on pins and needles and I'm terribly sorry to have kept you waiting.
I gave a little teaser on isntagram a few days ago.
For a little background, I have never really been in love with our kitchen floor but it was serving its purpose and you just deal with things like that in life, right? Well, unless you win the lottery of course.
Well, unfortunately to our wallets, our floor was cracking and uneven (thank you people who built our house and to our fridge) and it was getting to a really bad place and we had to do something.
Thankfully, my office does a lot of renovations for our clients so, I know some guys, if you will.
And after putting it off for awhile, we finally had them out to redo the floor!
We went with a 12"x12" porcelain tile and really love the way it turned out!

And Floyd has only minimally slobbered on it so far, but just give that one some time.
It is just slightly darker than what we previously had color wise but the feel and look of it are a million times better.
And I don't feel like we are going to wake up one morning with the fridge through the floor, so there's always that one in the plus column.
If you want any information on the products we used or if any of you Cincinnati ladies need referrals for contractors/tile setters, just shoot me an email!
And that concludes the time I wrote a post about flooring.

They look great!! And I'd definitely love hear who you worked with! New floors are on our home wish list as well! :)
Looks good! I had horrible horrible horrrrrrible laminate kitchen floor when I bought my house, isn't it funny how a new floor in your kitchen makes you a bazillion times happier!? haha
It looks great! It reminds me of the tiles we have in our bathrooms and laundry room. My in-laws have that tile in their kitchen and I sometimes think it'd be a LOT easier to keep that clean than the current flooring we have!
I love his little sideways chunky paws! And the floors look so fab!!
I was wondering if you guys did it yourselves, but I see you went the smart route (ie: argument free route)! Floyd's little feet! AH! My dad did all the "home improvement" stuff in our house growing up. I told him when we buy a house we'll buy him a plane ticket and an unlimited supply of beer to come redo floors! But, man do I have some good stories from him working on the house.
Looks great!! You guys are already on a roll this year!! Awesome!! Say hello to Floyd from us. :-) That means give me extra treats and kisses! :-)

I've been dying for 12x12 tile flooring in our kitchen...yours looks fantastic and I'm pretty sure I'll be sharing with my husband!
Lookin' good! Always feels nice to freshen things up, doesn't it?!
looks so great! already checking something off your list :)
I love the new tile! We had tile on our Florida house (which we own), but crappy lino in our rental house in Michigan. Downgrade!
