This weekend was all about changes around our house.
BUT I am going to be really mean and not show them to you yet because they aren't quiiite finished.
And they are so good that they deserve a proper reveal.
I can tell you they are on 'The List'.
Other than that, it was a Floyd-tastic weekend.
Floyd went to c-a-m-p on Friday so that night he was all sorts of loopy. And passed out on my lap by 9pm.
(P.s that red wine pictured is the '?' wine from Trader Joe's and it was one of my favorites- they don't always have it but then they do I always buy a couple of bottles because it's so yummy for about $7.)

Saturday morning I ran with my running group (10 miles, it was so nice to get a long run in) and then Bethany and I had facials. I had never had a facial before and I am not sure why I waited so long to get one. It certainly won't be my last! Hello relaxation and pampering.
We had to be out of the house a bit on Saturday so Floyd and I ran our errands together.

He made another trip to Lowes and was a hit, again.
And also loud.
At one point he barked so loud (I have no idea at what) that people came around the aisle to see what the noise was. Thanks Floyd. Other than that he got lots of rubs and funny looks. I'd say some patrons weren't quite expecting to see a basset hound traipsing through Lowes.
And without Floyd, much to his dismay, Mister and I went to go see American Hustle.
Really, really good- go see it!
And then we grabbed dinner at Piada- I'm think it's only a regional place, BUT I suggest you local ladies get there stat!
And Sunday, what good is watching the Golden Globes if you don't have some bubbly? And a sassy basset.
I'll skip the story about how we had to use a hammer and nail to get the cork out...
We got it out and that's all that's important.

The wine from Trader Joe's back in the day was like $2.99. We called it $2 Buck Chuck!
I love taking our dog to Lowes - it makes buying boring items like lightbulbs so much more fun. And I am dying to get a facial for the first time, I check Groupon every week!
Never knew dogs were allowed in Lowe's! Great news for my little mutt. How did you find your running group? How does it work?
@Flannery - I run through local running store and we meet a few times a week and they offer different courses/distances. P.s. you are set up as a no reply blogger, so I couldn't email you back - you can change that in your blogger settings ;)
OOoh Floyd makes me laugh! My dog is never happy when I got to movies without him either :) I'm so glad you had a good weekend - I really need to see American Hustle!
Wine from TJ's is always a win ALWAYS, and aren't facials just so "ahhhhh" they always make me feel better about life... maybe I should schedule one this week! Thanks for the idea!
The last time I went to the Home Depot, there was a fat old basset hound riding along in a cart while his owner shopped. Obviously I chased them down and took a picture. It cracked me up but I think bringing my little maniac hounds to "help" with shopping would probably backfire.
Ahh I need to know about these changes! American hustle looks so good! I really want to see that and wolf of Wall Street.
I have never taken my dog(s) to Lowe's! How fun. Maybe I should do that! :) I need to take her for a long walk first so she doesn't embarrass me and leave a trail...ha
I (like others here) had no idea you can take your dogs into Lowes! Is this a local store thing or do you think all the stores allow it? this would be helpful this summer when Diesel is with me. He loves going to the store so this would be another stop to add to his fun adventure days
Bella is a frequent Lowes visitor. She even pooped in there one time!! I wasn't there but the Mr. was mortified enough for the both of us. Luckily a nice mom with wipes helped my husband out lol.
I kind of want to know the story about the hammer and nail..
Progress on the list already? Go you. And I forgot about this Piada - I saw it going in at the Hyde Park plaza and then never made it back since they've opened. Menu looks good!
Wow, sounds like a pretty eventful weekend, I think we need pictures of that wine uncorking;)
I want to see American Hustle SO BAD!
1.) Facials are the BEST.
2.) I really, really want to see American Hustle. Now that you've recommended it, I think I've finalized my decision to go ASAP.
I have been thinking that I am due for a facial...my last one was like 8 years ago! And I think American Hustle is on the agenda sometime soon.
your 10 mile run sounds awesome. I'm not quite there yet, lol. looking forward to your house changes posts, it's always cool to see how a blogger decorates her place :)
