Floyd gets to go on a nice, long walk every day after we get home from work.
After he stretches, wallers and gets lots of scratches, he is ready to take on the neighborhood.
Generally this is a leisurely sniff and stroll and an activity that sorta resembles a walk.
But, some days, every once in a while, homeboy wants to run.
I think we all know bassets aren't distance runners but actually they are up for a good sprint every once in a while.
And even though you may not believe it, Floyd is actually pretty fast when he wants to be.
I mean I think he's ready for a 5k, don't you?
And I can't talk about bassets running without referencing this.
ha! how cute!!! yeah you always think of bassets as lazy, but my basset is pretty active when she wants to be (but totally lazy when she doesn't wanna be!)
ReplyDelete& they hide it well, but they are so fast!
Yesssss!!!!!! A running Floyd video! He is surprisingly fast!
ReplyDeleteOMG those little legs. Melt my heart!
ReplyDeleteHe is fast!
ReplyDeletePoor Baxter, I probably burn all of one calorie on our walks because dude is slow.
Happy Weekend Sarah!
Run Floyd Run! Those little legs sure can move :-)
ReplyDeleteOzzie loves a good sprint, too. He basically pulls my arm off as I try to keep up... why couldn't I have gotten a nice long-distance loving dog?!
ReplyDeleteOkay, where have I been all of Floyd's life?? He is the freaking cutest guy ever.
ReplyDeleteBuzzfeed is just pure gold. LOVE those BH photos.
I just love Floyd. He is such a popular feller in blog land!
ReplyDeleteThis is so amazing!!! My Scout wants to be BFF with your Floyd :) :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, pretty girl!!
so cute! my pugs aren't natural runners either, but they feel the need to do a little sprint every now and then :)

Hahahaha! Love this! Our neighbors just got a Basset Hound puppy and I am in love! His name is Huckleberry and when I call him he comes running down the driveway at full speed tripping over his ears at every step haha and overload of cuteness :)
ReplyDeleteFloyd is more handsome than any of those other Bassets. I love seeing Bassets run--especially the ones that have the rear end swing around to the side, almost like a truck jack knifing!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a basset years ago, and they are pretty fast, especially when stealing food...ha! But then of course they spend the next day or two sleeping it off :)
ReplyDeleteMy Bassett is the WORST when it comes to walks yet when we're trying to chase him around the yard, he's like a cheetah!
