Running around nonstop pretty accurately describes our weekend.
But we got a fair amount of rest in as well.
I think more running than resting happened though.
And that's okay! This was the first weekend practically all summer that Mister and I BOTH were home.
Friday night I ran home from work, changed real quick and headed off to dinner at a friends.
It was great to catch up with them and they were so sweet and made a delicious dinner that I could eat.
Lots of wine and little sleep was had but we wouldn't have had it any other way.
Besides, who needs more than 6 hours of sleep before getting up to run at 7:30am?!
Saturday, as stated, I got up very early for running group and busted out a 'quick' 8 miles.
Then I ran home and then ran into the office for a bit for a meeting.
Then I ran a million errands (picked up this at Ulta because it was calling my name) and ran back home. Are you seeing a theme here?
I whipped up a new to me recipe of Sweet Potato Corn Cakes to take over to Katie and Derek's for dinner! Side note : I made them again on Sunday because we were so obsessed with them-recipe coming later this week!
Katie and Derek were also complete angels and made another dinner that I could eat - great friends!
I cooked the corn cakes at their house so they would be hot and promptly got oil all over my new top. #fail
Thank you Google for telling me how to successfully get those stains out.
Sunday I also hit the ground running doing house chores and getting organized for the week.
Mister and I then ran around town grocery shopping and doing married things like getting knives sharpened. #romantic
Floyd and I may have snuck a nap in there too...
How was your weekend?

How are you liking the Cheek Me Out? I am out of my bronzer that I normally wear and am looking for something new. And I need to make those corn cakes. Yum!
I think you're the only other person I've "met" who uses "R" in the weekly calendar. I always have to explain to everyone!
YUM- can't wait to hear that recipe! :) Glad you had a fun weekend doing 'married things' hehe... that made me LOL about the knives. Jared and I shopped for paint over the weekend- how old are we?! ;)
Girl did you ever stop this weekend? Excited to see what you think about your new benefit purchase!
Still obsessed with those corn cakes! Thanks so much for bringing them and for coming over. We had so much fun chatting the night away!
Woah, eight miles! That is insane! I'm a higher intensity/quicker pass kind of girl (boot camp!), but always wish I could run;)
those sweet potato corncakes sound so good. and love your weekly meal plan!
I need the corn cakes in my life. Thanks in advance :)
