Running in this crazy humidity makes my mind wander to crazy places.
Such as...
'Why are miles 2-4 so absolutely miserable?'
'Wonder what Floyd is doing?'
'WHY is there a blister on the arch of my foot?'
as my black headband falls off and hits my arm 'WHAT was that? A bird? Ahhhh! Oh just my headband...hope no one saw me flail around like that'
'No seriously, this humidity is stealing my breath'
'Why don't other runners always wave when I pass them?'
'I've totally earned that ice cream thats going to hurt my stomach later'
'If only I could peruse the Nordstrom sale while running...'
'Seriously, I didn't know my body could produce this much sweat'
'WHY do my headphones keep cutting out? I NEED my old school Nelly to get through this run'
(p.s. I, obviously, need new headphones-if you guys have any favorites let me know!)
'Would it be weird if I jumped in the lake to cool off?'
Nothing to do with this post except it's the opposite of running.
'I sure hope Mister made me a water bottle'
'What should we eat this week? Where are my Pinterest food boards when I need them?'
'Sarah, it isn't the end of the world if you have to walk a bit, especially in this heat! Get over it!'
And this one I actually said out loud...after my run on Saturday I felt a little loopy (needed food/water/laying down) and texted Mister
'I feel delusional'
to which he responded
'do you mean delirious?'
Yep. Yep that's what I meant...told you I didn't feel right...
And that's just a sampling of what goes on in my brain. It's a scary place.

LOL, I can tell you what Floyd was probably doing:
1. Sleeping
2. Sleeping
3. Garbage Can Rooting
4. Missing Sarah
5. Sleeping
Haha- love this! My mind goes weird places too... usually I'm thinking about food and work in various forms!
Too funny! I ran tonight and it was pretty brutal. A random runner not only said hi but reached out for a hand tap which pretty much made my night!
whenever i'm running i always think to myself, i wish i could read, or peruse pinterest, or do some online shopping while i run. it would make runs sooo much more enjoyable!
Be careful running in too much heat lady!!!
Old school Nelly has gotten me through PLENTY of hot runs - I totally approve :-)
Your such a champ! I'd totally tell you what I think when I'm running but I don't run. If you see me running you know something is after me!
Why don't other runners wave is something I've thought of often too! I always wonder if it's somehow me (because I look a hot mess at any point in my run) or if they're having a bad day and then my mind wanders to what can I do to help them have a better day and it's just crazy, downhill talk from there about doing something for someone I'll never see again.
