In the Bag:Date Night Essentials

I'll be the first to admit that I am generally carrying far too much in my purse.
So when it comes to the weekends and our special dates nights (or lately date brunches after church) I try to pair it down.  Plus a cute clutch is way more fun with outfits than my big ol work purse.
But with smaller purses comes the need to make sure what you are carrying is really the essentials.  If you are getting a spot in my smaller purse, it means you are really special and you've made the cut.

Besides a few credit cards, license and phone I have a few other items are definitely on my 'essentials' list.
Lipgloss and lipstick: Duh. Preferably at least 2 different options.

Chapstick (essential for application before lipgloss) and to keep our lips fully hydrated during the cold winter months.  Lately I have been loving Chapstick Total Hydration (citrus is my fave) because it visibly renews lips and instantly smooths and moisturizes.  Winner.
Emergen-C: I am a bit of a germaphobe and like to pop these as soon as we've been out and about around a lot of people.  Sue me but I hate to feel a cold coming on.  More Healthy Days, More Healthy Nights for us.

Nexium 24 hour:  This one is more for Mister than for me but guess who gets to carry it ;)
Admittedly, one of us is bound to each something spicier than we should have so its a good thing to have these nearby.  (always remember with Nexium 24 hour it may take 1 to 4 days for full effect and you must use as directed.)

Advil:  You never know when a tinge of a headache will hit you so I am obsessed with carrying these travel vials of Advil in all of my bags.  I was in Wal-Mart the other day perusing the travel aisle and knew it was time to stock up on some for all my bags and desk drawer.
I am a big fan of Advil considering they are the original round tablets providing safe, effective pain relief for over 25 years.
(Plus who doesn't love the travel aisle?)
So that is what makes the cut for my bag.
What do you keep in yours for a date night out on the town?

This is fun! My husband and I swear by Emergen-C but now I'm wondering how much it is psychological benefit: http://www.vox.com/2015/1/15/7547741/vitamin-c-myth-pauling

You just reminded me to take some Emergen-C, because I am working at school today and everyone seems to be sick lately. Ahhhh!

The travel aisle can mean trouble! Lol. I always see little things that I have to debate, do I really need this...or do I want it because it's cute travel size and only a couple dollars.

I get so excited when I can dump my large, diaper bag purse and just carry the essentials in a smaller bag for date night! I keep all my must haves in a small bag so I can easily move them from one purse to another without missing a beat! {client}
