Complete with hearty soup, snow and freezing temperatures, we had quite the winter weekend at our house.
Friday I had some PTO to use up so Floyd and I spent the day together cleaning and visiting the vet for a check up. The hefty hound weighed in at a generous 56.3 lbs. Which is quite high for him. So naturally I took him directly to get chicken nuggets after we were done. I mean, I had already promised them to him and I couldn't go back on it ;)
That evening Mister and I snuggled up with this soup and it was amazing. I suggest you add it to your rotation immediately. Plus it made a TON, double winner in my book.
Saturday I hit up Pilates and then bootcamp and rounded out the morning with HomeGoods for good measure. Not that I need a thing, but they have the cutest Valentine's Day stuff right now. I did snag some cute napkins because they were just necessary...
The rest of the day was pretty low key. I finished 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry' (cute! I can't wait to read the next one).
Saturday evening Mister and I did some shopping and grabbed some comfort food from Dickey's BBQ.
A TOTAL splurge for me but it was deeeelicious.
We spent the rest of the evening catching up on Narcos.
Sunday morning Floyd and I woke up early and had some coffee and snuggle time.
I started 'Crazy Rich Asians' - its good so far!
Then it was off to church a manicure and the couch the rest of the day.
Floyd and I quickly resumed our snuggling.
This cold weather just calls for snugglin'.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

That food is making my mouth water! Sometimes I wish it snowed more here...but then I really like the 65 degree days we are having :)
I've only had Dickey's BBQ once and it was pretty good! :) sounds like an awesome weekend girl!
I really liked Crazy Rich Asians, can't wait to hear what you think!
I want all the soups in the world right now, so I will definitely add that one to my must-try rotation!!
Okay, I want that food. NOW. IMMEDIATELY. Even though we just ate Maui Mikes. I have been cheat meaning like crazy and the madness needs to stop! I'm (hopefully) back on track this week with some healthy meals planned :)
I haven't had a dog for 5 years and your blog gives me MAJOR #puppyfever ;) Floyd is such a cutie pie!
Blessings,
Edye
So many good things! Excellent reads (I hope you do like the follow-up to Harold Fry - I thought it was even better), yay for PTO, and mmm that BBQ looks good. Also: Floyd weighs as much as Ginger! That's funny.
