There is currently quite the baby boom happening within my group of college friends.
6 of us are currently or have had a baby in the last couple of months.
We did not plan this but oh is it fun!
We've all been friends since college and have gone through A LOT of life experiences together. And this is just one more to add to the list.
It is beyond amazing and helpful to have the besties around to compare notes, offer advice and share our random hormonal fits and food needs.
This past weekend we all traveled to Chicago to shower one of the ladies in the group who is expecting soon, Laura.
We planned a subtle tribal theme and everything came off without a hitch!
We organized the entire shower via email between multiple cities and it came together beautifully.
We had delicious food to munch on and at the mama's request, a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake.
Are those not the prettiest cakes you've ever seen?!
One of the best parts was that everyone from our college group was there at once, that has not happened in a few years!
And with all those growing bellies and new babies, we had to get a few photos.
If only our college selves could see us now...!
But the ABSOLUTE best part was that our bestie Miss Marge at Large who has been traveling the world for the past 10 months came home and surprised us all. By surprise I mean came up the basement steps where she had been hiding and came into the room.
It was THE greatest! There was a lot of screaming, crying, jumping and through the moon excitement. Man I love a good surprise.
Here's to the year of babies!

How fun that your one friend could come and surprise everyone?! SO sweet!! I am so happy you all got to get together. How awesome/crazy that you're all going through similar life events!
Omg so stinking cute!! I was pretty much solo pregnant with my youngest 2 years ago and definitely think having a friend support system is the best!
